Grace Reformed Baptist Church is an established local church planted in early 2022 which currently meets at North Lakes, QLD, Australia. We have a membership of 47 and an average Sunday attendance of 120 people.

We are seeking to appoint an additional qualified elder according to 1 Timothy 3. Ideally, we are looking for a man of significant pastoral experience, forming a true plurality of elders, and therefore better distributing the pastoral responsibilities and gaining another biblical and pastorally experienced voice in our decision making.

This opportunity may suit a retired or semi-retired pastor, an experienced Elder seeking part time ministry, or a mature Christian with theological training or comparable knowledge who is looking to transition into pastoral ministry. We are especially interested in someone who already has demonstrated capacity in pastoral care and can serve with maturity, initiative, and theological conviction. This is a part-time position, with remuneration and hours decided upon by agreement between the church and the applicant.

Presently we have one full-time elder and one part-time elder candidate, as well as four elected deacons. The church aligns with historic Reformed and Baptist distinctives and holds strong relationships with other Reformed Baptist churches in South-East QLD. Please see the “about us” section on our website for more details on our teaching.

Expressions of interest will be considered when accompanied by a resume, a cover letter, and preferably a letter of commendation from the applicant’s present church. The cover letter should include a brief biographical section, the applicant’s Christian testimony and a short description of his call to ministry.

If you are interested or know someone who may be suited to this calling, please contact us at [email protected].
