About the prospect We are seeking an experienced

Senior Technical Business Analyst

to support Department of Health, Disability and Ageing delivering data-driven compliance, risk analytics and digital transformation initiatives.

Working within a specialised Risk Analytics team, you will bridge business and ICT delivery teams, translating complex business needs into clear requirements for analytical, reporting and digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

Lead business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops and co-design activities across complex ICT and analytics initiatives.

Define and manage functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and product backlogs.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, data and analytics specialists, ICT teams and external delivery partners.

Analyse and improve current and future-state business processes, supporting operational efficiency and organisational change.

Lead UAT, solution validation, business sign-off and transition into operations.

Manage project planning, governance, risks, issues and dependencies, ensuring successful delivery outcomes.

Provide strategic advice,



lead multidisciplinary workstreams and promote BA best practices and continuous improvement.

Skills and experience

Strong experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst delivering complex ICT initiatives.

Proven requirements analysis, process mapping, stakeholder engagement and Agile delivery experience.

Experience working with data, analytics, reporting or technology-enabled business solutions.

Strong UAT, governance, risk management and delivery assurance capabilities.

Experience with Azure DevOps, Microsoft 365 or similar requirements and delivery management tools.

Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
