TA Electrical

Wingfield

Love a good fault? Know your way around a PLC? We should talk.

If you're the kind of electrician who enjoys getting to the bottom of a tricky breakdown, understanding how machinery works and figuring out why something has suddenly stopped doing what it's supposed to, you might fit right in.

At TA Electrical, we specialise in industrial electrical, breakdowns and automation. We work across some pretty interesting sites, keeping machinery running, solving problems and occasionally scratching our heads at equipment that's been around longer than we have.

We've got some exciting projects coming up, plenty of interesting industrial work and a team that genuinely enjoys what they do.

Now we're looking for an experienced industrial electrician with strong fault-finding skills and an interest in PLCs and automation to join us.

The Role

This isn't your typical electrical job, and that's kind of the point.

One day you might be diagnosing a fault on an old production machine with barely a drawing in sight. The next, you're troubleshooting a PLC-controlled system or working alongside our automation specialists on a complex project.

You'll be working across a variety of industrial environments, from manufacturing facilities and automated production lines to recycling plants and other sites where there's always something interesting happening.

Your work will include:

- Industrial breakdowns and complex electrical fault finding
- PLC fault finding, troubleshooting and automation work
- Diagnosing faults on machinery and production equipment
- Troubleshooting motors, VSDs and industrial control systems
- Electrical maintenance, repairs and plant improvements
- Getting involved in upcoming automation projects, upgrades and commissioning works

We're particularly interested in electricians with PLC experience, whether that's troubleshooting existing programs, diagnosing PLC-related faults or programming and modifying control systems.

We're also interested in hearing from experienced breakdown electricians who have developed strong technical skills and want to take their capabilities further into automation.

What Makes TA Electrical Different?

We're a family-run business that's been around for nearly 20 years, and we've built a pretty incredible team along the way.

Some of our people have been with us for over a decade. Others are just starting their careers. What makes it work is that everyone brings something different to the table, and we genuinely enjoy working together.

We're not interested in being the biggest electrical company in Adelaide. We'd rather be the kind of company that good electricians actually want to work for.

That means:

- A team that has your back. When you're stuck on a difficult fault, you've got experienced people to bounce ideas off.
- Interesting work. Different sites, different machinery and problems that actually make you think.
- Room to grow. Opportunities to build on your PLC programming, automation and technical fault-finding skills.
- A life outside work. Family commitments matter, and we understand that work isn't everything.
- Your ideas matter. If you've got a better way of doing something, we want to hear it.
- A good laugh. We take our work seriously, but ourselves? Not so much.

We're proud of the culture we've built, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of it.

What You'll Get

- Competitive salary package
- Vehicle allowance
- A great variety of industrial breakdowns and projects
- Opportunities to work with PLCs, automation and complex machinery
- Exciting upcoming projects across a range of industrial sites
- Training and technical development opportunities
- Experienced electricians and automation specialists to work alongside
- Long-term career and growth opportunities
- A supportive, down-to-earth team that's worth showing up for

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of finding and fixing faults, not just replacing parts and hoping for the best.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- A current South Australian electrical licence
- Strong industrial electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with industrial machinery and control systems
- Experience with PLC systems, particularly fault finding, diagnostics or programming
- A good understanding of motors, VSDs and electrical schematics
- The ability to work independently and think through problems
- Positive communication skills and a team-first attitude
- A genuine interest in continuing to develop your technical knowledge

We're particularly keen to find someone who enjoys the automation side of industrial electrical work and wants to keep building their skills.

You don't need to have seen every machine or solved every fault. What matters is having a solid technical foundation, a curious mind and the determination to figure things out.

This Might Be For You If...

You're the electrician everyone calls when something isn't working and nobody can figure out why.

You enjoy understanding how machinery operates, getting into control systems and working through faults that aren't immediately obvious.

Maybe you've already spent years working with PLCs and want more opportunities to use those skills. Or maybe you've built a strong background in industrial breakdowns and are looking for a role where you can take the next step into more complex automation work.

Either way, you want interesting projects, challenging work and a team of people who genuinely give a damn about each other.

Sound like your kind of job?

We'd love to hear from you.
