As a Software Tester at Rubicon Water, you will play an significant role in one of our agile development teams, applying your hands-on testing experience to help deliver high-quality software.

Working closely with product owners and software engineers throughout the development lifecycle, you will help refine and clarify requirements, design and execute test cases, perform manual and automated testing, and champion quality across the team.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

- Design, develop and execute test scripts using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Perform thorough regression testing following bug fixes, and review developer-written tests to ensure adequate test coverage and quality.
- Develop and maintain testing processes for new and existing products and ongoing releases.
- Install, configure and maintain test environments.
- Participate in sprint planning, including estimating testing effort and identifying testing requirements in collaboration with developers and product owners.
- Perform post-deployment testing in UAT and production environments.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and automate test execution where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:





- A degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. ISTQB certification is desirable.
- Proven experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to understand complex software systems as a whole while working in an agile development environment.
- Experience in manual testing of complex software product suites.
- The ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Experience with test automation, particularly UI or API testing using tools such as Selenium and Cypress, will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in Java, with solid SQL skills and experience in scripting.
