About the Role

Are you energised by solving complex governance challenges and guiding organisations through high-stakes decisions? As Integrity and Governance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in leading Barwon Water's fraud and corruption control framework, privacy and data breach management program, and Freedom of Information function. Your work will directly support transparency, accountability and public trust across the organisation.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you'll lead investigations, statutory responses and organisational governance initiatives while providing authoritative advice to leaders across the business. From driving fraud and corruption prevention programs to managing complex privacy incidents and Freedom of Information requests, you'll navigate sensitive matters with professionalism, sound judgement and a commitment to defensible outcomes. You'll also engage with regulators, oversight bodies and key stakeholders, ensuring Barwon Water meets its obligations while continuously strengthening governance capability and performance.

About You

You're an experienced governance or compliance professional who thrives in complex environments. You enjoy working in ambiguity, balancing competing priorities and translating legislation, policy and regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes. Whether your background is in the public sector, regulatory environment, risk or investigations, you bring strong technical expertise and exceptional professional judgement.

You have demonstrated experience managing sensitive matters that require discretion, procedural fairness, evidence-based decision-making and clear stakeholder communication. You're confident preparing investigation reports, statutory determinations, executive briefs and regulator correspondence, and you can influence outcomes through trusted relationships, credibility and expert advice. People seek out your guidance because you can simplify complex issues and provide practical solutions that stand up to scrutiny.
