Moreton Hospitality's The Beach Hotel is located in Broadbeach. We are a precinct of multiple venues, a casual dining restaurant Cora, High Energy Sports Bar, VIP Luxury Gaming Lounge and an exclusive Private Function and Dining Room for up to 100 guests The Club House.

The position

This is a unique opportunity for a highly energetic and motivated Events & Floor Supervisor with a passion service.

We are seeking someone with previous event/banquets/floor/bistro supervisor experience.

In this casual role, you will work closely with our experienced Events Executive and Venue Management Team, providing valuable support in delivering memorable events and unforgettable guest experiences. You’ll be responsible for looking after our clients’ needs on event days, leading and supervising our team, and working autonomously to manage shifts in Cora Restaurant while covering our Restaurant Manager’s RDOs.

Your key responsibility will include:

- Responsible for event set up on the day, ensuring the floorplan is being followed
- Meeting with Events Executive prior to the event to ensure smooth operation
- Responsible for the overall operation of the event
- Communicate with kitchen and other team members on key details such as dietaries and accurate time frames
- Ensure the client’s needs are being met
- Upsell where possible
- Reset the room for the next event




- Ensure the function room is immaculately presented at all times
- Complete post event reports
- Floor supervisor shifts - mapping out staff allocations, managing break times and ensuring service is running smoothly.

About You

Ideally, you will have:

- Proven experience in a similar role (1+ years)
- Previous supervisory or senior restaurant experience
- Ability to demonstrate experience in the key responsibilities outlined for this role
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- A genuine focus and appreciation for creating and delivering quality service

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $36.81 – $55.00 per hour
