Hola Mija – Latin American Street Food has now been open for 4 weeks, and things are getting busy!

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Hand / Cook / Customer Service Team Member to join our small and friendly team.

We’ve created a fun, vibrant and welcoming space inspired by the flavours and culture of Latin America, serving everything from tacos, burritos and nachos to empanadas and other street food favourites.

We’re now looking for some extra hands to help us both in the kitchen and serving our customers. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, love great food, enjoy chatting with customers and want to be part of a growing local business, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

Depending on the shift, your role may include:

- Assisting with food preparation and kitchen service
- Cooking and assembling our street food menu
- Preparing ingredients and setting up the kitchen for service
- Taking customer orders and serving food
- Providing friendly and welcoming customer service
- Keeping the kitchen, service area and workspace clean and organised
- Restocking and general day-to-day duties
- Working closely with a small, supportive team





We’re Looking For Someone Who Is:

- Passionate about food and hospitality
- Friendly and confident dealing with customers
- Reliable and hard-working
- Positive, energetic and willing to get involved
- Comfortable working in a busy setting
- Able to work well as part of a small team
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person
- MUST be available Thursday to Sunday including some evenings and public holidays.
