Carmita restaurant & bar is seeking an experienced and passionate chef to join our dynamic kitchen team on a full time basis.

Carmita restaurant and bar is a vibrant Mediterranean-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar located in the heart of Byron Bay, offering bold flavours, fresh local produce share style dining and a lively atmosphere.

Our menu combines a modern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences with creative presentation and high-quality seasonal ingredients.

We are looking for a chef who enjoys working in a fast paced, energetic kitchen and has a genuine passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cooking a range of Mediterranean and Middle eastern inspired dishes to a consistently high standard

- Assisting in the development of seasonal menus and daily specials.





- Ensuring quality presentation and portion control standards are maintained during service

- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team during high volume services

- Supervising and training kitchen staff

Requirements

-Full work rights in Australia

-At least 3 years relevant cooking experience

- Experience working in a busy restaurant with high service standards

- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a professional team

- Creativity, attention to detail and passion for modern hospitality

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
