Position: Chef – Full-Time Permanent

Bar Fino | Sydney CBD, NSW

Salary: $79,423 per annum + Superannuation

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent (38 hours per week)

About Us

Bar Fino is an independently owned café and restaurant located in the heart of Sydney's CBD at Level 6, 25 Martin Place.

We offer a diverse menu of freshly prepared breakfast and lunch dishes, including pasta, risotto, burgers, salads and contemporary café meals. Our commercial kitchen prepares food on-site for both dine-in and takeaway customers.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and develop menus, including seasonal dishes and daily specials.

Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard.

Monitor food quality, taste, portion sizes and presentation.

Estimate food requirements and assist with food-cost control.

Coordinate daily kitchen operations and ensure productive food preparation and service.

Order ingredients,



monitor stock levels and minimise food waste.

Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.

Train and supervise junior kitchen staff.

Ensure consistency in food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation.

Requirements

Relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management.

Relevant experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.

Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen operations.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Good organisational, communication and teamwork skills.

Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
