The Opportunity
Iconic Catering is looking for a FIFO 2:1 Village Cook to work alongside our Village Chef and deliver high-quality meals for our remote mine-site village, catering for up to 200 people.

This is a full-time FIFO position based at remote mining site in Western Australia, working on a 2:1 roster.

The Role

As a Village Cook, you will work alongside the Village Chef and support the delivery of daily kitchen operations and meal services.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Meal preparation and cooking
- Preparing crib food, salads, desserts, biscuits, muffins and breakfast items
- Supporting the delivery of high-quality meals to village residents
- Maintaining crib food levels and minimising food waste
- Assisting with stock management and kitchen inventory
- Following HACCP food safety standards and workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen hygiene

The Person

- Previous commercial kitchen experience, preferably in a remote or FIFO environment
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles
- Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Strong time management and teamwork skills
- Ability to work effectively in a remote site setting




- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test, and police clearance
- Valid WA Driver’s Licence and White Card

Desired

- Experience working in a FIFO village or remote mining environment
- Ability to work day or night shifts as required
- Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid) issued within the last three years
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems
