Trade Assistant

to join their growing installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction, roofing, scaffolding or general labouring who enjoys hands-on work and is looking to build a long-term career within the renewable energy industry. About the role

Working alongside qualified electricians and experienced solar installers, you'll be responsible for assisting with residential solar installations across Townsville and surrounding areas. Key responsibilities

Assisting with the installation of solar panels on residential rooftops Handling, positioning and mounting solar panels and associated equipment Preparing and assembling solar mounting systems Loading, unloading and organizing tools, equipment and materials Assisting with general installation preparation under appropriate supervision Safely operating hand tools and power tools Maintaining clean, organized and safe worksites Following workplace health and safety procedures, particularly when working at heights Supporting the wider installation team to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently About you





A current Construction White Card (mandatory) Working at Heights certification (assistance may be provided for the right candidate) A valid driver's licence Previous experience in construction, roofing, scaffolding, trade assistance or general labouring Good physical fitness and confidence working on rooftops Experience using basic hand tools and power tools A strong commitment to workplace health and safety Reliability, punctuality and a willingness to learn Previous solar installation experience is highly regarded but not essential Permanent, full-time employment with a locally owned Townsville business Work alongside experienced electricians and a hands-on business owner Opportunity to gain valuable solar and battery installation experience Supportive, down-to-earth team environment Potential assistance with obtaining Working at Heights certification Long-term opportunity within the growing renewable energy industry What's On Offer?
