Disability Support Worker (DSW)

Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support in line with individual care plans
- Assist with daily living
- Support access to activities and appointments




- Help build independent living skills
- Administer medications where authorised
- Maintain records
- Communicate with residents, families, and care coordinators
- Follow behaviour support plans
- Uphold dignity and choice
- Comply with facility policies and care standards

Requirements

- Cert III in Individual Support (Disability) or Cert IV in Disability
- Disability support experience
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- WWCC
- Current driver’s licence and vehicle
- Valid working rights
- First Aid/CPR
- Current flu vaccination

Desirable

- Complex behaviours/mental health experience
- Medication administration competency
- Assistive technology experience
- Restrictive practices training
