Narai Classic Thai Restaurant is a well-established restaurant known for delivering authentic Thai cuisine. We take pride in using quality ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Full-Time Chef to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present authentic Thai dishes according to restaurant recipes and quality standards.
- Manage food preparation and cook at various kitchen stations (such as Wok, Curry, and Deep fry) during service times.
- Ensure consistency in portion sizes, taste, and food presentation.
- Assist with stock control, inventory checks, and daily kitchen prep work.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards (HACCP).
- Work closely with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification full time experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
- Solid experience in authentic Thai cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Reliable, good teamwork skills, and robust attention to detail.
- Full working rights in Australia.
Pay & Benefits
- Job Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
- Salary: AUD $79,423 – AUD $85,000 per year (+ Superannuation)
Pay: $79,423.00 – $85,000.00 per year
