Primary School Tutors — Northern Gold Coast

Help local children build confidence in reading, writing, maths and learning.

ATK Tutoring is seeking caring, resourceful tutors for face-to-face, one-on-one primary school tutoring (Prep–Year 6) in Arundel, Parkwood, Labrador, Biggera Waters, Helensvale, Hope Island and nearby northern Gold Coast suburbs. This is in-person work in students' homes and agreed public locations, not an online-only role.

English and literacy are a particular priority. We also welcome tutors confident in primary Science, and Maths tutors are always wanted. You do not need to teach every subject: tell us the exact year levels and subjects you can teach independently.

The role

Deliver structured sessions tailored to the child's needs and confidence.

Support reading, comprehension, spelling and writing, and/or primary maths and science within your strengths.

Source and adapt suitable resources, support homework and help students develop learning routines and goals.

Travel reliably to regular local lessons and communicate professionally with families and our team.

We have current after-school demand in the northern Gold Coast, including Monday and Wednesday afternoons. Please tell us your regular teaching availability and earliest start date. Sessions are matched to your assessed strengths, location and availability; particular students or hours are not guaranteed.

What we are looking for

Confidence working with primary-aged children across different abilities.

Strong knowledge of the subjects and year levels you offer, patience and clear communication.

Tutoring, teaching or coaching experience is preferred, but not essential; we welcome applicants with potential and support their development.





A current Australian driver's licence (open or provisional) and immediate, reliable access to a private vehicle.

Australian work rights and a current Queensland Blue Card, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one before starting.
