About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Leading Hand to join our landscape construction team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Foreman and will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the team. This role encompasses support and oversight across all phases of the landscape construction process, from project commencement through to final completion and handover.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

- Relevant trade qualification
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team within the landscaping industry
- Valid Class C drivers' license
- White Card

Desirable

- Relevant plant competencies, such as Excavator Operations VOC

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Carry out landscape construction works,



including planting, irrigation, turf, retaining walls, paving, decking and other hard and soft landscaping features.
- Lead allocaced crews, including operators, labourers and apprentices, by communicating daily tasks, priorities and work expectations.
- Support the Foreman in coordinating day-to-day site activities and ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, instructions, project schedules and quality requirements.
- In conjunction with the Foreman, analyse various cost/construction options to determine most cost-effective alternatives and assist with the monitoring of the project construction schedule on a weekly basis.
- Maintain control and security of company equipment, tools, materials, and project documentation. Ensure safe work practices are followed.
- Uphold company procedures, construction standards, and quality control requirements.
- Provide direction to junior staff and liaise with senior site management as needed.
