Full-Time Retail Bakery Manager Required

Just For You The Bread House Mirrabooka is a retail bakery offering a variety of freshly baked bread, cakes, pastries and other bakery products to our local community.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Bakery Manager to oversee our store operations, lead our retail team and support the continued growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, organise and manage the overall daily retail operations of the bakery to ensure productive business performance and high customer service standards.
- Determine product ranges, retail pricing and stock requirements, and oversee purchasing arrangements with suppliers.
- Develop and implement retail sales strategies, promotional activities and merchandising plans to improve sales performance and customer engagement.
- Monitor sales results, customer preferences and market trends to identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment and wastage control to maintain product availability and profitability.
- Coordinate with bakery production staff and suppliers to ensure products meet customer demand and quality expectations.
- Recruit, train, supervise and manage retail staff, including preparing rosters, allocating duties and monitoring staff performance.
- Establish and maintain store operating procedures, customer service standards and workplace policies.
- Prepare and monitor store budgets, labour costs, inventory expenses and profit margins.
- Oversee cash handling, POS operations, daily sales reconciliation and accurate business recordkeeping.




- Resolve customer complaints and implement improvements to customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Report to business owners on store performance, staffing requirements and opportunities for business growth.

Skills and Experience Required

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate:

- A relevant qualification in retail management, business management or a related field, or substantial relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience in retail store management, preferably within a bakery, food retail or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, staff supervision and organisational skills.
- Experience in stock management, purchasing, retail pricing and inventory control.
- Ability to monitor budgets, sales performance and operating costs.
- Sound knowledge of customer service standards and food safety requirements.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy retail setting.

Salary Range: $80,000-$85,000
