About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and motivated Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high food quality, maintaining excellent hygiene standards, and contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.

This role is ideal for a chef who takes pride in their craft, works well under pressure, and is committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
- Manage the daily operations of an assigned kitchen section.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes, presentation standards, and portion control requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic workstation at all times.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, workplace health and safety requirements, and kitchen procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and minimise food waste.
- Ensure ingredients are properly stored, labelled,



and rotated in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with menu preparation, specials, and the development of new dishes.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain high standards of food presentation, quality, and timely service during busy periods.
- Assist with kitchen opening, closing, cleaning, and preparation duties as required.

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a Chef de Partie or above role.
- Strong cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Positive understanding of food safety, hygiene, and safe food handling practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain consistent quality under pressure.
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
