Ujin Matcha House – Canberra

Ujin Matcha House is a matcha and tea shop focused on quality, calm, and intention. Inspired by Japanese tea culture, we exist to slow things down and do things properly — from the matcha we serve to the way we treat our customers and our team.

We need more staff to assist our existing amazing team!

Availibility required is particularly including the Christmas holiday period.

We are currently looking for a reliable, thoughtful, and service-minded team members to join us as we grow.

About the role

You will be part of a small, close-knit team responsible for:

- Preparing matcha drinks and desserts with consistency and care
- Delivering warm, genuine customer service
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and calm work environment
- Working efficiently during both quiet and busy periods
- Upholding the values and standards of Ujin Matcha House

Previous café or barista experience is recommended, due to the similar nature of high volume orders, dockets and drinks preparation. We value attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn over speed or ego. Full training will be provided,



and we have well documented procedures and guides which can help you learn our recipes, standards and expectations.

About you

You are someone who:

- Takes pride in their work and enjoys doing things properly
- Is calm, polite, and respectful with customers and colleagues
- Is friendly, welcoming and attentive to our customers
- Has good availability and is punctual and dependable
- Can work independently but also contributes positively to a team
- Has an interest in food, drink, or tea culture (a bonus, not a requirement)
