Mining Electricians | Rio Tinto Sites, WA | FIFO | Shutdown until 2027
About Us: Buildability Group is a boutique labour hire agency supplying skilled trades to major mining and construction projects across Australia. We’re looking for qualified Mining Electricians to join Rio Tinto shutdown crews across Western Australia.
The Role: we need experienced Mining Electricians for shutdown work across Rio Tinto mine sites in WA, running through to January 2027. Flights are available within WA, with rosters suited to shutdown schedules.
What you’ll be doing
- Electrical maintenance, repairs and shutdown works across Rio Tinto mine site operations
- Working to strict site safety and compliance standards
- Fault-finding and troubleshooting on mining plant and equipment
- Working as part of a shutdown crew to tight timeframes
What You’ll Need
- A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Current medical (required / willingness to acquire)
- Rio Tinto site inductions preferred (not essential — support available for the right candidate)
- Previous mining or shutdown experience highly regarded
- Ability to work FIFO rosters through to Christmas
- Solid safety focus and ability to work autonomously on site
