We’re looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join the rail division of a Tier 1 engineering consultancy on an immediate contract basis. Recent wins on major metropolitan rail projects have created urgent requirements and the team is expanding to meet them. You’ll slot straight into the existing project teams and need to hit the ground running. Rail experience is desirable, but strong civil design experience is the key. The team is already playing an active part in a number of major rail and highways projects, with an impressive pipeline of work awaiting award. This is a contract opportunity across major rail projects in the SE Qld market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Join the design team on major metropolitan rail projects (project offices / head office)
- Working in a hands on design engineering role, preparing detailed civil engineering designs, drawings, and documentation
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure design requirements are met
- Working in an experienced rail team with industry leaders on complex brownfield and greenfield rail projects
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience in civil design engineering role, preferably in a main consultancy environment within rail
- Ability to have an immediate impact to the Team
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Proactive, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Australian working rights / RPEQ (Eligible or Approaching is also considered)
