About the program

ACSO's Men's Reintegration Service is a statewide program delivered in partnership with Queensland Corrective Services (QCS), providing re-entry support to people in prison and after their return to the community. Working collaboratively with each client, the program helps address barriers to community reintegration and supports a positive transition. The service model includes intensive pre-release support, throughcare for up to six months after release, and after-hours assistance to help the people we support achieve successful outcomes.

About the position

As a Forensic Case Worker, you will provide Through-Care Post Release Support (TPRS) to eligible clients across the Rockhampton and Gladstone regions. Working directly with clients both in custody and following their release, you will build trusted relationships, develop reintegration plans, and provide practical support to help individuals successfully transition back into the community.

Support begins up to three months prior to release through regular engagement at Capricornia Correctional Centre and continues for up to six months post-release. Through outreach, advocacy, and hands-on case management, you will assist clients to overcome barriers, access housing, employment and community services, and achieve positive long-term outcomes.

This role involves community outreach, attending Capricornia Correctional Centre (2 days per week), and attending our Gladstone hub on a regular basis, as per operational needs and/or direction.
