As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and capable Executive Assistant to join our team and play an important role in supporting our Principals, clients and wider team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a professional environment, enjoys variety, and wants to make a genuine contribution to a growing business.

At SPA Accounting & Advisory, we believe a great workplace is built around great people. You’ll join a supportive, collaborative and inclusive team where your contribution is valued and there’s plenty of opportunity to learn and grow.

About the Role
Working alongside our existing administration team of four and our wider team of around 30 staff, you’ll provide high-level administrative and organisational support to two Principals, while also helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
No two days will necessarily be the same.
You’ll be involved in everything from managing calendars and meetings to coordinating client relationships, handling correspondence and helping identify smarter, more efficient ways of doing things.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, calm under pressure, highly organised and naturally solutions-focused — someone who sees what needs to be done and makes it happen.
The Person We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with personality, drive and a genuine desire to make a difference. Someone who brings energy and initiative to their work, takes pride in what they do and is motivated to take the next step in their career.
You’ll be someone who:
- Takes ownership - you’re accountable, follow things through and take pride in getting the details right, without needing to be constantly directed
- Has initiative and oomph - you’re proactive, confident and resourceful, with the drive to get things done and the initiative to look for better ways of working
- Thrives in a team environment - you’re approachable, collaborative and enjoy being part of a close-knit team where everyone contributes and supports one another
- Enjoys variety and a challenge - you can juggle competing priorities, think on your feet and adapt when things change, while remaining calm and organised
- Is naturally detail-oriented - you care about accuracy, take pride in producing quality work and understand the importance of getting the little things right
- Looks for ways to add value - you don’t just do what’s required; you’re curious, think ahead and look for opportunities to improve processes and make things run more smoothly.
- Communicates with confidence and care - you build positive relationships, communicate clearly and professionally, and understand the importance of a great experience for both clients and colleagues
Experience in accounting, skilled services or a similar environment would be advantageous, as would familiarity with practice management systems. A qualification or current studies in business administration or a related field would also be well regarded. You’ll be comfortable with technology, willing to learn new systems and confident using the Microsoft Office Suite.
Most importantly, we’re looking for the right person — someone who aligns with our team culture, brings a positive attitude and a bit of spark, and is genuinely excited by the opportunity to take ownership and grow with us.
More Than Just Administration
This role is ideal for someone who wants to be more than just an EA.
You’ll have the opportunity to become a trusted part of the business, build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, take ownership of your work and contribute ideas that make a real difference.
If you’re someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in doing things well and is excited by the opportunity to grow alongside a successful professional services firm, we’d love to hear from you.
