This is a diverse Senior Accountant role for someone who wants ownership, visibility and a seat at the table. You will run month end for a key business unit, sit close to the CFO, and be the finance partner the operational team actually relies on.
The business
A growing Australian healthcare group operating clinic and dispensary businesses across a multi entity structure. The finance team is lean, capable and focused on improving systems as the group scales. Head Office is in Sumner Park in Brisbane's south west, with work flexibility on offer.
The role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, with regular exposure to the CFO and senior leadership, you will:
- Own month end for the dispensary business, producing EOM financials with clear commentary
- Run weekly sell through invoicing and reconcile back to the head entity
- Business partner the clinic business on budgeting, forecasting and process improvement
- Keep the ledger clean through balance sheet and GL reconciliations, system checks and data integrity reviews
- Review and approve weekly AP, ABA creditor payment files and delegated payroll submissions
- Manage monthly tax compliance,
including payroll tax workings and lodgement
- Lead year end audit support and liaise directly with external auditors
- Support delegated entities and help train and develop others in the team
About you
- CA or CPA qualified
- 5+ years in a Senior Accountant or similar role, ideally across multiple entities
- Strong month end, reconciliation and reporting discipline, with a sharp eye for detail
- Xero experience; Airtable exposure highly regarded
- A genuine systems and automation mindset: you look for the better way and build it
- Confident communicator who can work autonomously and partner non finance stakeholders
- Manufacturing/inventory experience an advantage
