Role Summary:

We're on the lookout for a compassionate, confident and self-motivated Casual Registered Nurse to join our dedicated night-shift rotation in our Canberra community.

This isn't your average nursing gig. You'll be delivering highly specialised, person-centred care to Members with complex clinical needs, including airway management, tracheostomy care and critical life-sustaining equipment within patient homes. It doesn't get any more personal ... or rewarding ... than that!

? And here's the cherry on top: For the right person / suitable fit, there's potential to transition into a permanent position as part of the Team National family.

Overview of Responsibilities:

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Assist with daily living activities and ensure patient comfort.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Essential Requirements:

- Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.




- Minimum of 2 years of paid nursing experience.
- ACT Working with Vulnerable People Check
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- NDIS Effective Communications Module
- NDIS Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module
- Current First Aid (3 years) & CPR (annual)
- Immunisation Record - Influenza (annual)
- Reliable transport to and from shifts
- Immediate start and availability throughout Christmas peak period.
- Available for a minimum of 2 consecutive night shifts.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Confident clinical and critical thinking skills.

Preferred:

- Experience with airway management including tracheostomy
- Experience with airway management including ventilation
- Experience with Enteral Management
