Our client is seeking a Business Analyst with a strong focus on process improvement to join their Technology team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in either Sydney or Melbourne. This is an opportunity for a BA who enjoys understanding how things work today, identifying what could work better, and shaping practical improvements for the future.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Wealth Management to understand and map existing processes, uncover pain points, inefficiencies and manual activities, and help design improved future-state processes. This could involve streamlining workflows, improving customer or adviser journeys, reducing unnecessary steps, standardising processes or identifying opportunities for automation.

What you'll be doing:

- Map and analyse As-Is processes and work with stakeholders to design improved To-Be processes.

- Identify bottlenecks, manual processes, duplication, process gaps and improvement opportunities.

- Facilitate workshops to understand business challenges and uncover the root cause of process issues.





- Translate improvement opportunities into practical business requirements and solution options.

- Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise and automate processes.

- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria ready for Agile delivery.

- Work with Senior BAs and Business Owners to break Epics into deliverable stories.

- Work closely with Project Managers, developers and testers across the delivery lifecycle.

- Support definition, design, testing, implementation, demonstrations and training.

- Contribute to business cases and Lean Canvas development for future improvement initiatives.

- Develop clear business process and procedure documentation.

What we're looking for:

- Demonstrated Business Analyst experience with a strong process improvement/process optimisation component.

- Hands-on experience with process mapping, current-state analysis and future-state process design.

- Ability to identify process inefficiencies and work with stakeholders to develop practical improvements.

- Strong requirements elicitation, user story and acceptance criteria experience.

- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

- Wealth Management, Wealth Advisory or Private Banking experience is highly desirable.

- Avaloq experience would be advantageous.

- JIRA and strong Excel capability.

- Exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement, Business Process Management or similar approaches would be beneficial.

Qualifications:

- Degree qualified.
