We are seeking two experienced Project Managers to join a significant, multi-year enterprise transformation program within a large Queensland organisation.
This is an opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transformation initiative focused on modernising critical business systems, enabling current technology capabilities and supporting substantial changes to business processes and ways of working.
Working within an established, multidisciplinary program team, you will lead a range of technology-focused projects and initiatives that underpin a broader strategic transformation. The initial focus will be on preparing for the next phase of implementation, including project planning, sequencing, coordination and delivery of key enabling capabilities.
These roles will suit adaptable Project Managers who enjoy working in complex environments, navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to evolving priorities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and delivery of technology-focused projects and initiatives within a large enterprise transformation program.
- Manage a varied pipeline of work, from smaller tactical initiatives through to more substantial project deliverables as the program evolves.
- Develop project plans, delivery schedules, milestones, dependencies and governance arrangements.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across technology, business operations, change management and business analysis.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and delivery constraints.
- Work closely with program leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans and deliverables.
- Support the design,
sequencing and preparation of future implementation activities.
- Establish structure and clarity around emerging requirements, evolving scope and competing priorities.
- Provide clear and timely reporting on progress, risks, decisions and outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in project delivery practices and ways of working across the program.
About you:
You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in technology delivery and the ability to operate effectively within complex transformation environments.
You bring a practical, solutions-focused approach and are comfortable taking ownership of work where the scope, requirements or delivery approach may still be evolving.
- Proven experience managing technology projects within large, complex organisations.
- Experience delivering projects as part of a broader business transformation or technology transformation program.
- Strong project planning, governance, stakeholder management and delivery coordination capabilities.
- The ability to bring structure to ambiguity, break down complex problems and establish clear delivery pathways.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence, collaborate and build effective working relationships.
- A proactive mindset,
with the initiative to identify what needs to be done and drive it forward.
Experience within financial services, insurance, claims or similarly regulated environments will be highly regarded. Exposure to major core-system implementations, enabling technology capabilities or platforms such as Guidewire would also be advantageous, but is not essential.
The environment:
You will join a growing transformation team comprising project and program management professionals, business analysts, change managers and technology specialists. The program is well underway, with the next phase requiring additional project delivery capability to support implementation planning and the delivery of multiple interdependent initiatives.
The environment is dynamic, collaborative and evolving. Success will come from someone who can quickly understand the broader program, build relationships, manage competing priorities and confidently take ownership of delivery.
- Brisbane CBD location.
- Hybrid working arrangement, with approximately 50% working from home.
- Initial contract through to 30 June 2027.
- Opportunity to contribute to a major, multi-year enterprise transformation.
- Exposure to complex technology delivery and a significant core-system modernisation initiative.
- Potential to take on larger and more substantial project responsibilities as the program progresses.
If you are a capable technology Project Manager who enjoys complex delivery environments and wants to contribute to a major enterprise transformation, we would welcome a conversation. ******@sharpandcarter.com.au
