Gladstone Women's Health Centre (GWHC) is looking for a passionate, trauma-informed Youth Counsellor to join our growing team. This is a newly created role in response to increasing community need, and we welcome applications to be based in either Biloela or Gladstone.

We are a community-based, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and young people, with a strong focus on support for those affected by domestic and family violence and sexual assault.

Flexible location: Work from either Biloela or Gladstone.

About the Role

This role provides specialist therapeutic counselling,



safety planning, and case coordination to children and young people impacted by domestic and family violence and/or sexual assault. You'll work independently and collaboratively to support victim-survivors and advocate for their safety, healing and empowerment. You may also facilitate group sessions and engage in outreach with local schools and services.

You'll be joining a team that is passionate about place-based support and prevention-making a real difference every day.

You'll Need:
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Diploma of Counselling with or eligibilty for ACA registration.
Demonstrated experience providing counselling to young people impacted by trauma, violence or abuse.
A deep commitment to trauma-informed, feminist, and culturally responsive practice.
A valid Blue Card, Police Check, and C-Class driver's licence.
