About The Chance
The primary purpose of this position is to assist qualified electricians with electrical installations across commercial office fit-out and new build construction projects, while continuing to develop your trade skills towards becoming a licensed electrician.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with electrical installations across office fit-outs and new build projects
Undertaking rough-in and fit-off of cabling, lighting, power and containment
Reading and working from electrical drawings and plans under supervision
Assisting with testing and fault-finding as directed by qualified electricians
Following site safety procedures and onsite HSEQ requirements at all times
Maintaining tools, equipment and a clean, organised work area
Travelling between project sites across Melbourne’s CBD and surrounds
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Currently completing a 2nd or 3rd year electrical apprenticeship
Current Driver’s Licence
Current White Card (Construction Induction)
Current Working With Children Check (required)
EWP Licence (preferable)
Previous exposure to commercial construction or office fit-out projects (highly regarded)
A robust work ethic, eagerness to learn and a commitment to safety
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
