We are seeking an experienced CNC Folding Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing team producing high-quality roof flashings from sheet metal. This is a hands-on position where you'll take pride in your workmanship and play an important role in delivering products to customers. This role is based in Middleton, Christchurch and will be working on the afternoon shift which is Monday to Friday 1:15PM – 9:45PM. Please note we are also looking for an Assistant Machine Operator for the same shift which is an opportunity to grow your skillset.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Operating a CNC folding machine to manufacture roof flashings
Reading and working from production requirements and specifications
Maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy
Prioritising tasks to meet production deadlines
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work workplace
Following all Health & Safety procedures and reporting hazards or incidents
Performing quality checks on products
Potential options for 40 hours of work available:
1:15pm - 9:45pm Monday to Friday
1:15pm - 10:45pm Monday to Thursday and 1:15pm - 5:15pm on Friday
1:15pm - 11:45pm Monday to Thursday
Skills & Experience
Due to the nature of the role, to be successful in this role you will need:
Previous experience operating a CNC Folding machine (ideally experience manufacturing flashings or other roofing materials)
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good computer skills and confidence using production software
Ideally you will have a forklift license, however this is not essential
Rainwater product knowledge would be advantageous
To be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
A excellent attitude and willingness to learn
To possess excellent and clear communication skills
To be enthusiastic and reliable
