Are you an Assistant Accountant with around 2 years' experience looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and collaborative workplace? We're partnering with a well-established business in Epping that is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their finance team.
This chance is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in accounting who is looking to further develop their skills. You'll bring strong attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a desire to build a long-term career in finance. Working closely with a friendly and experienced team, you'll gain hands‑on exposure across accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, month‑end support, and broader financial reporting.
Please note this role is 5 days in the office.
What you’ll be doing:
Assisting with day‑to‑day accounting tasks and basic bookkeeping
Processing invoices, reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
Supporting the finance team with month‑end tasks and general reporting
Updating and maintaining financial data with strong accuracy and attention to detail
Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and supporting ad‑hoc finance duties as required
What we’re looking for:
Completed degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Basic bookkeeping or exposure to financial processes (university, internship or work experience)
Good Excel skills and confidence working with numbers
Experience with Xero is highly regarded
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and interest in developing your accounting career
