The Role
Manage end-to-end month-end journals and reconciliations for Australian-owned companies.
Prepare half-yearly and annual statutory accounts to ensure clean external audits.
Contribute to financial stability through robust budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and monitoring.
Produce high-quality monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and financial commentary
Ensure timely and accurate submission of quarterly Appendix 5B reports for ASX compliance.
Ensure compliance across all statutory tax obligations, including GST, FBT, and Payroll Tax.
Maintain seamless payroll operations and timesheet management.
Led and directed the accounts payable team.
Streamline project and tenement reporting to provide transparent financial visibility.
Safeguard company compliance by managing Tenement, Contract, and Land Access Registers.
Prepare technical accounting papers to support corporate compliance.
Strengthen governance by evaluating and improving internal control procedures.
Support corporate governance by assisting the Company Secretary with Board and AGM reporting.
Optimise financial operations by identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements.
Profile
Suitably qualified Chartered Accountant / CPA
Previous experience working for one of the Big 4 will be highly regarded
Sound knowledge of accounting standards, tax and statutory requirements
The ability to work under pressure and meet required timelines
Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products
Proactive, confident communicator
