Private Surgical Bookings – Data Entry Assistant

Immediate Start | November–December | 20–30 Hours per Week

We are seeking a bright, reliable and detail-oriented Data Entry Assistant to support our busy private anaesthetic practice during November and December.

This position would suit either:
A motivated university student, particularly someone studying medicine, health sciences or a related field, who is looking to gain valuable experience in healthcare administration.
An experienced medical administration qualified, ideally with a background in private surgical bookings, anaesthetic bookings or medical accounts.

Previous medical administration experience would be an advantage, but is not essential for the right candidate. We are particularly interested in someone who is intelligent, organised, accurate and able to learn current systems quickly.

About the Role

The position primarily involves entering and managing patient and surgical booking information, ensuring that records are accurate, complete and processed efficiently.

You will be working with a small, professional team supporting private anaesthetists.

Initially, the role will involve 20–30 hours per week during normal business hours,



covering a busy period and a staff member on maternity leave.

There may be opportunities for additional hours depending on workload and performance.

Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
An understanding of the importance of patient confidentiality
Previous experience in medical administration, surgical bookings or private medical accounts would be highly regarded, but is not essential

Australian work authorisation is required.
