On behalf of our client, HD Plasma & Laser Cutting Services Pty Ltd, we are seeking an experienced Leading CNC Machinist to perform precision machining work and coordinate daily machining activities. Our client provides metal cutting and machining services to customers across a range of industries.

Key responsibilities
-Set up, program and operate CNC machining equipment to produce metal components to specifications.
-Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, dimensions and machining tolerances.
-Select suitable tooling, fixtures, cutting speeds and feeds for each job.
-Perform machining operations, including drilling, boring, milling, turning and tapping, as required.
-Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments and ensure compliance with drawings and quality requirements.
-Troubleshoot machining faults and adjust programs, tooling and machine settings.
-Coordinate machining priorities and provide practical guidance to other operators.
-Conduct routine equipment checks, maintain production records and follow workplace safety procedures.





Skills and experience
-Relevant trade qualification in mechanical engineering, fitting and machining, or a closely related field.
-At least three years of relevant CNC machining experience.
-Ability to independently set up machines, adjust programs and manufacture components to specified tolerances.
-Robust engineering drawing interpretation and precision measurement skills.
-Experience guiding operators or coordinating workshop tasks.
-A reliable approach to quality, teamwork and workplace safety.

What we offer

-Annual salary of $80,000-$95,000 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
