We are currently seeking a full time Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team at Premier Metal Recyclers in Maddington WA. The position is full time. For a successful candidate an annual salary of $75k to $80k + superannuation will be offered.

Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle assessments and diagnostic tests to determine vehicle functionality and issues.
• Identifying, diagnosing, and repairing issues with the motor engines or mechanical/electrical parts.
• Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized diagnostic systems and manual tools, to pinpoint and repair vehicle malfunctions.
• Disassembling motor components to perform proper inspections and repairs on the vehicle.
• Conducting routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, oil changes, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to improve vehicle functionality and longevity.
• Replacing worn or damaged parts such as belts, hoses, and spark plugs.
• Diagnosing and repairing heating and air conditioning systems.




• Inspecting and repairing suspension and steering systems.
• Troubleshooting and repairing fuel systems.
• Assembling recent motor components according to specification or manual.
• Reassembling motor components after inspection/maintenances are completed.
• Road testing vehicles to diagnose problems and ensure repairs have been completed successfully.
• Perform safety inspections to verify that all vehicles comply with the necessary safety regulations.
• Providing estimates for repair costs and time required to complete repairs.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years+ of experience
• Hold relevant qualification
