Job Description
Receive, register and track freedom of information requests to maintain an accurate record of each matter.
Review requests and identify the information and records needed for a transparent, complete response.
Coordinate the collection of relevant documents from internal areas and keep requests moving within required timeframes.
Prepare correspondence, response documents and file notes that are accurate and easy to follow.
Organise records and supporting material to maintain complete and orderly case files.
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive health information and personal records.
Provide updates on request status and outstanding information to support informed decision-making.
Manage administrative tasks within the Secretarial & Business Support function to keep processes organised.
The Successful Applicant
A successful 'Freedom Of Information Officer' should have:
Experience managing freedom of information requests and related documentation.
Robust record management skills, with care taken to maintain accurate and complete files.
Confidence reviewing information and preparing transparent written correspondence.
Ability to coordinate information from several internal contacts and follow up on outstanding items.
Sound judgement when handling confidential and sensitive information.
Strong administrative skills and an organised approach to managing competing requests.
What's on Offer
Temporary contract.
$47 per hour, plus super.
