Our client is one of Australia's leading public University's looking to taken on a Senior Accountant to drive projects and provide financial insight

Job Description
Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting for a high-profile remediation program.
Deliver financial analysis and insights to support key business decisions.
Manage complex reconciliations and ensure financial data integrity.
Partner with Finance, HR, Payroll and project stakeholders across the University.
Monitor program expenditure, track performance and identify financial risks.
Support audit, compliance and governance requirements within the program.
Develop and enhance financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and payroll operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful 'Senior Accountant' should have:




Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting
CA, CPA or Equivalent Qualification
Extensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, payroll legislation, Fair Work Act compliance, and external audit requirements.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage large datasets and complex financial scenarios
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly present financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Excellent planning and organisational skills, demonstrating initiative and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet critical deadlines.

Salary of $120,000 - $132,000 + 17% superannuation.
