As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our Traffic Control operations, manage our workforce and resources, maintain compliance, and drive operational excellence.About the roleThe Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Traffic Control division, ensuring the efficient planning, coordination and delivery of works while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance and customer service.The successful candidate will oversee operations, traffic management design, fleet and asset management, workforce planning, client relationships, safety & people, compliance and business growth initiatives.This is a senior leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in Traffic Management, Operations and Team Leadership.Key responsibilitiesLead and manage all day-to-day Traffic Control operationsCoordinate personnel, logistics and project resourcesManage fleet allocation, utilisation and maintenance schedulingCoordinate vehicle repairs, servicing and damage reportingManage scheduling and workforce allocation to meet operational demandsCoordinate Police Specials and specialist traffic requirementsManage subcontractors and external labour providers when requiredAssist with estimating and quotation preparation.Provide operational leadership and after-hours support as needed.Resolve operational issues and ensure service delivery commitments are achieved.Manage licensing,



training and compliance requirements.Foster a positive safety culture and high-performing team environment.Traffic Management DesignPrepare and review Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and related documentation.Design traffic management solutions for roadworks, construction and maintenance projects.Develop staging plans, detours, lane closures, temporary road closures and pedestrian management plans.Coordinate permits and approvals with relevant authorities.Ensure all designs meet client, legislative and project requirements.Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards and permit requirements.Conduct site inspections, operational audits and compliance reviews.Current Queensland Traffic Management Designer AccreditationExtensive experience within Traffic Control and Traffic Management operationsStrong understanding of Queensland Traffic Management legislation, standards and best practicesDemonstrated experience managing personnel, resources and operational performanceProven leadership and people management experienceStrong planning, organisational and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesCurrent unrestricted Driver's LicenceProficiency in Microsoft Office and traffic management software systemsCompetitive remuneration packageCompany vehicle, mobile phone and laptopOpportunity to lead and develop a growing Traffic Control divisionSupportive leadership team and professional work environmentCareer development and progression opportunitiesThe ability to make a significant impact on the future growth and success of the business.
