We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute QLD State Manager to take full ownership of our Queensland operation, leading sales growth, workshop performance, parts operations, customer relationships, and overall branch profitability.This is a unique prospect for a hands-on leader who understands the heavy vehicle industry from the ground up.Who We're Looking ForWe're looking for a genuine industry leader who has progressed from a hands-on workshop or production background into senior management.
You understand the operational realities of a heavy vehicle, manufacturing, or service environment and combine this experience with strong commercial acumen, customer relationship management skills, and a proven ability to lead high-performing teams while driving sustainable business growth and profitability.About the RoleReporting to senior leadership, you will have full responsibility for the strategic and operational performance of the QLD branch.With complete P&L; accountability, you will oversee:New and used trailer sales.Workshop service, repairs and maintenance operationsSpare parts sales and inventory managementCustomer service and after-sales supportSafety, compliance and facility managementTeam leadership, coaching and performanceThis role requires a balance of commercial acumen and operational leadership, with the ability to move seamlessly between customer meetings, sales strategy,



workshop operations and financial management.What You'll BringEssential Experience5+ years' experience leading a branch, region or business unit within:Heavy vehiclesTransport equipmentTrailer manufacturingAutomotive OEMTruck or equipment servicing operationsStrong commercial and financial management capabilityProven leadership experience with direct P&L; responsibilityDemonstrated success managing customer relationships and driving revenue growth.Experience leading workshop and operational teams.Highly DesirableTrade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Vehicles, Fabrication, Welding or a related disciplineExperience within the trailer manufacturing sector.Understanding of heavy vehicle repairs, maintenance and aftermarket parts operationsExisting network across transport, logistics or fleet customersSuccess in This Role Looks LikeAchieving branch EBIT and profitability targetsGrowing equipment sales and market shareImproving workshop productivity and turnaround timesExpanding parts revenue and inventory performanceDelivering exceptional customer outcomesBuilding an engaged, accountable and high-performing teamWhy Join Vawdrey?
