As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the finance function and support the ongoing success of the organisation.About the Role This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced Accountant, Company Accountant, or Senior Bookkeeper who enjoys working autonomously and being involved in all aspects of the finance function.
Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and providing valuable financial insights to support business performance and decision-making.Key ResponsibilitiesEnd-to-end bookkeeping and accounting functionsManagement of accounts payable and accounts receivableBank and credit card reconciliationsPayroll processing and associated compliance requirementsMonth-end processing, journals, and reconciliationsPreparation of management reports and financial informationBAS, IAS, and statutory compliance obligationsCash flow monitoring and forecastingLiaising with external accountants, auditors,



and advisorsReviewing and improving existing financial processesImplementing and documenting internal accounting procedures and controlsSupporting project costing, job profitability, and commercial reportingAssisting management with financial analysis and business performance reportingAbout You To be successful in this role, you will possess:Previous experience in a standalone Accountant, Company Accountant, or Senior Bookkeeper positionStrong understanding of Australian accounting principles and compliance requirementsProven ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance functionA proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solvingExceptional attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the businessExperience using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience within construction, design & build, property, development, or project-based environments will be highly regardedWhat's on Offer?
