Help clients imagine their event, then lead the team that brings it to life.KOL Hospitality Group is looking for an experienced hospitality professional who combines confident event leadership with a warm, engaging approach to clients.Full time, fixed term until March ****, with the potential to become ongoing as the business grows.You'll host site inspections at our function venue, Grow Event Space, and supervise weddings, celebrations and corporate events at Grow and other Melbourne locations.This is an opportunity for an experienced event or functions supervisor ready to take on more client interaction and venue responsibility, or a venue coordinator who enjoys leading service on the floor.Key responsibilitiesWelcome prospective clients and learn what they're planning, helping them picture their event through different layouts, styling options and the flow of the dayUse brochures, menus and event photos to explain possibilities and share preferences and questions with the sales teamBrief staff on the event, service expectations and individual responsibilitiesSupervise food and beverage service, working alongside the team when neededOversee setup and pack down, checking that spaces, bars and food stations are presented beautifullyBe a calm, professional contact for clients and suppliers during eventsRespond to changes,



resolve issues and keep the team focused on a great guest experienceReview event briefs, menus, timings and setup requirements with planning and operations teamsCheck linen, flowers, styling items, servingware and equipment before they leave the warehouseIdentify anything that needs cleaning, repair or replacement and follow it throughAbout youProven experience supervising food and beverage service at weddings, functions or catered eventsConfidence briefing, directing and supporting hospitality teamsA personable approach and the ability to make clients feel welcome and confidentStrong attention to detail, particularly around presentation and serviceGood organisation and the ability to turn an event brief into clear actionA practical, hands on approach to preparation, service and pack downAvailability for a wide-ranging roster, including evenings and weekendsA current Victorian RSAAbout usKOL Hospitality Group operates Grow Event Space, Mint & Mingle Catering and Kegs on Legs.
The role is Highett based, with work across the Cheltenham venue, office and warehouse, and event locations throughout Melbourne.
