The position is split approximately 3 days HR and 2 days payroll, giving you the variety of working across both people and pay while driving improvements to processes and systems.You will be a trusted point of contact for leaders and employees throughout the organisation, and you will collaborate closely with the Finance team on all things payroll.What you will be doingHuman resourcesActing as the go to adviser for leaders and staff, offering practical and solutions focused HR supportHandling employee relations and performance management matters from start to finishOverseeing recruitment, onboarding, employment contracts and all stages of the employee lifecycleInterpreting and advising on policies, procedures and conditions of employmentContributing to workforce planning, compliance and learning and development initiativesHelping to shape a positive culture through engagement and wellbeing initiativesBeing a visible, approachable HR presence across the organisationEngaging external advisers when complex matters require additional expertisePayrollRunning the full fortnightly payroll cycle for a largely hourly and shift based workforceApplying EBAs,



awards and employment conditions accurately and consistentlyBringing sound knowledge of superannuation and salary packaging to the roleActing as the main contact for external salary packaging providers and answering employee enquiriesPartnering with Finance on payroll related mattersHelping to get the most out of the CIM payroll platformFinding ways to reduce manual workload and make payroll more efficientKeeping pay rates, employee conditions and payroll data accurate and up to dateThis is a great time to join, with the organisation actively investing in better payroll processes and system capability.
You will play a key part in introducing smarter, more automated ways of working.What you will bringThe ideal candidate will combine solid hands on HR and payroll experience, preferably gained in aged care, healthcare, home care, disability or a similarly regulated sector.You will ideally offer:A background spanning both HR and payrollSound knowledge of EBAs, awards and the industrial relations landscapeExperience paying an hourly or shift based workforceIn depth understanding of superannuation and salary packagingHands on experience with payroll systems, with CIM experience highly regardedConfidence advising on employee relations and performance issuesA genuine interest in improving systems, processes and ways of workingExcellent communication skills and a natural ability to build rapportThe capacity to work independently and take full ownership of your workA stable career history that reflects commitment to your previous employersAbove all, you will be a grounded, people focused professional who likes solving problems and making a real difference to workplace culture.What is on offerPermanent full time position$100,000 base salary plus superannuationMostly onsite, with one work from home day each weekA broad remit across HR and payroll with real ownershipThe chance to shape and improve payroll systems and processesA friendly, close knit team environmentMeaningful work that makes a difference for both employees and residents
