Job no: ******Work type: CasualClassification: Band 2 - $68,****** pa plus superCategories: Community CareAbout the roleAs a Casual Community Care Worker, you will provide assistance to our Home Care Clients to maintain and improve their life, by providing of a range of direct practical assistance in their homes, personal care, meal preparation and medication prompting.The City is seeking candidates with the ability to work across the entire Geelong region and be available to work either Monday to Friday (day shift hours), evenings (4pm – 7pm) or Weekends.Work type: CasualClassification: Band 2 $***** per hour (inc casual loading)Weekday shifts will perform the following:Perform general housework and cleaningProvide support in maintaining social contacts, emotional health and well-beingMonitor clients' health and well-being and report any concerns.Evening and Weekend shifts will perform the following:Personal care tasks including personal groomingMeal preparationProvide support in maintaining social contacts, emotional health and well-beingMonitor clients' health and well-being and report any concerns.About youTo be successful in this role, you will have experience providing personal care, domestic and household activities to people who are ageing, live with disability or mental illness.
You will also:Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, HACC, Disability or Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Aged Care, HACC, Disability, Community Services or NursingHLTHPS006 Assist Client with Medication (required for Evening and Weekend shifts)Have a current First Aid Level 2, including CPR moduleHave a current driver's license, comprehensive insurance and a reliable registered motor vehicleWorking with Children's Check (Employee)Be physically able to carry out a range of household dutiesHave availability of 3 week days or greaterPreferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check and a Pre Employment Medical Assessment as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
