Work with your Clients and feel pride in enhancing the lives of older people with your professional expertiseResthaven have an opportunity for a professional, community focused Podiatrist to join our Community Team at Elizabeth.The role is offered on a 0.6 part time permanent (3 days per week) basis.You will build on your expertise seeing clients in clinic and providing allied health services directly to clients in their home.Core ResponsibilitiesPractising within the standards and ethics of the Podiatry profession, as set down in the code of ethics, and by the Podiatry Board of South AustraliaWorking as a professional member of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation team and actively participating in team meetingsAssessing clients with a wide range of acute and chronic disorders and implementing effective rehabilitation and/or maintenance programs byReviewing, continually assessing, and evaluating programs or treatmentsImplementing effective discharge programsBalancing competing priorities of individuals' expectations against resource levelsMaintaining documentation in a professional and confidential manner and in accord with Resthaven standardsEffectively communicating with staff members, health professionals, clients, and family,



with regards to the provision of podiatry servicesEssential CriteriaCurrent registration as a Podiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyDriver's LicenceKnowledge of the range and type of services available for older people/people with disabilityAbility to work with minimal supervision and to supervise othersAbility to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organisational requirementsAbility to monitor expenditure and implement action as requiredUnderstanding of quality accreditation systems and their application in the workplaceDemonstrated skill and professional practice as a PodiatristKnowledge of infection control guidelines and sterilisation procedures for Podiatry instrumentsSound computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelIn this role, it is expected you will demonstrate personal responsibility, effective communication, and adaptability while consistently delivering high-quality service aligned with Resthaven's values.
