Our Blacktown facility is an important part of our Australian manufacturing operationJob DescriptionAbout the roleWe are looking for an experienced and reliable Process Worker – Sheet Metal / Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team at our Blacktown site.This is a hands-on role within our Sheet Metal area, operating machinery to cut, bend and form sheet metal and aluminium components used in our manufacturing process.The role would suit someone who has previous machine operation experience, particularly working with sheet metal, aluminium, cutting or bending machinery.Afternoon shift hours:Monday to Thursday: 1:30pm – 10:00pmFriday: 11:00am – 5:00pmWhat you'll be doingReporting to the Sheetmetal Supervisor, you'll be responsible for:Setting up, operating and monitoring sheet metal machineryCutting, bending and forming sheet metal and aluminium componentsSelecting jobs and matching drawings with machine programsMeasuring dimensions, angles and rotations and making adjustments where requiredChanging tooling and ensuring the correct tooling and drawings are usedMonitoring machine performance,



making adjustments and responding to breakdownsPerforming regular Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activitiesOrganising work queues and loading raw materialsMoving finished components safely to the next stage of productionFollowing safety and environmental requirements and raising any safety issues or concernsDesired Skills and ExperienceWhat you'll bringWe're looking for someone who is mechanically minded, safety-conscious and comfortable working with manufacturing machinery.Ideally, you'll have:Previous sheet metal or aluminium manufacturing experienceExperience cutting, bending or forming sheet metal or aluminiumPrevious machine operation experience in a manufacturing environmentConfidence reading drawings, measurements and dimensionsGood mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExperience setting up or changing machine toolingStrong attention to detail and a focus on producing quality workA reliable, team-focused approachA strong commitment to safe work practicesReliable transport and appropriate Australian work rightsForklift and/or hoist experience would also be beneficial given the material handling requirements of the role.Why join Temperzone?
