Bauer Foundations Australia – Narangba QLDBauer Foundations Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our team on a full time basis at our Narangba, QLD facility.
This is a critical role within our operations, where you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of diesel-powered equipment and machinery.
Our Diesel Fitters play an essential part in ensuring our equipment operates at peak efficiency, minimising downtime and supporting the overall productivity of our business.
Your expertise will be fundamental to maintaining our fleet and supporting our operational excellence.Key responsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and servicing of diesel engines and related equipmentDiagnose mechanical faults and defects in diesel-powered machinery using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniquesRepair and replace faulty components, including transmissions, pumps, filters, and other engine partsConduct overhauls and rebuilds of diesel engines to factory specificationsTest repaired equipment to ensure proper functionality and performance standardsMaintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work completedAdhere to all health and safety regulations and workplace proceduresCollaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completionSource and order replacement parts as requiredAbout youTrade qualification or certificate in diesel fitting or equivalent recognised qualificationProven experience as a Diesel Fitter or in a similar role working with diesel engines and machineryStrong technical knowledge of diesel engine and hydraulic systemsProficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand and power tools relevant to the tradeAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manualsSound understanding of health and safety regulations and workplace compliance requirementsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailPhysical fitness to perform manual handling and work in various conditionsValid driver's license as well as confined space, forklift and/or working at heights ticketsFull-time employment with stable, ongoing workTypical working week of Monday - FridayCompetitive wages reflecting your experience and qualificationsWorkplace culture that values professionalism, safety, and team collaborationInvestment in development and wellbeing of team membersCareer progression opportunities within a worldwide organisationAbout usBauer Foundations Australia Pty Ltd is a respected provider of foundational and specialised engineering solutions.
