This is a Tax Accountant role in a busy public practice located on the Mornington Peninsula, providing business and accounting services to a diverse range of clients based all over Australia.
This is a full-time position based in the Mount Eliza office.
A strong accounting and taxation knowledge base is of the utmost importance as the successful candidate needs to be job ready and able to work on the client base from day one.Key responsibilitiesPreparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individualsPreparation of monthly and/or quarterly BAS reportsData processing and bookkeeping with the ability to work with a range of client software programs including Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, ReckonLiaising with clients and responding to technical client queriesReporting to and assisting Partners as requiredAbout youMinimum of 3-4 years recent accounting experience in Public PracticeCA/CPA qualifications (or working towards) are highly regarded, but not essentialStrong accounting and taxation knowledge baseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsIntegrity, accuracy and exceptional attention to detailStrong technical and organisational skills with proficiency to work with a range of software programs including Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon, Microsoft Excel,
