NQ Estimating & Civil Services is seeking an experienced Final Trim Grader Operator to join our team on a casual basis.
Based in Cairns, QLD ****, this role is integral to ensuring the precision and quality of our civil construction projects.
As a Final Trim Grader Operator, you will be responsible for operating grading machinery to achieve the exacting specifications required for project completion.
Your expertise in fine-tuning earthmoving operations will directly contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality civil works.Key responsibilitiesOperate grading machinery with precision to achieve final surface specifications on construction sitesInterpret project plans, engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate grade placementConduct pre-start machinery inspections and perform routine maintenance checksCommunicate with site supervisors, surveyors and other team members to coordinate grading operationsMonitor blade depth and positioning to maintain required tolerances and surface finishesMaintain accurate records of work completed and machinery hoursAdhere to all site safety protocols, procedures and relevant legislationRespond promptly to site instructions and adapt to changing project requirementsWhat we're looking forCurrent and valid grader operator licence or certification appropriate to the machinery being operatedProven experience operating grading equipment on civil construction projectsStrong ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specificationsDemonstrated precision and attention to detail in fine grading operationsSolid understanding of civil construction site safety requirements and proceduresReliable, punctual and professional approach to workStrong communication and teamwork skillsPhysical fitness and ability to work in outdoor conditions and varying weatherExperience with GPS-guided grading systems would be advantageousPrevious casual or contract work experience in construction is desirableWhat we offerWorking with NQ Estimating & Civil Services offers the flexibility of casual employment, allowing you to balance your work commitments with other priorities.
