We are committed to providing a warm, nurturing and engaging environment for children and families.About the roleThis is a part-time position working 5 hours per day, with a monthly rostered day off (RDO).
You will be responsible for planning and preparing meals and snacks for the children attending the service, ensuring that food is nutritious, varied,



appealing and appropriate for young children.Key responsibilitiesPlanning and preparing fresh, balanced meals and snacks for childrenCatering for allergies, dietary requirements, cultural preferences and individual needsMaintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanlinessManaging food stock, ordering supplies and minimising food wasteDeveloping menus that encourage children to explore a variety of healthy foodsMaintaining accurate food safety and temperature recordsWorking collaboratively with educators and management to support children's health and wellbeingAbout youHas a genuine interest in preparing healthy, nutritious food for young childrenHas experience in cooking, ideally in an early learning, childcare or similar settingUnderstands food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practicesCan confidently cater for allergies and special dietary requirementsIs organised, reliable and able to manage their time effectivelyEnjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative teamShares commitment to children's health, safety and wellbeingRelevant food safety qualifications and experience in menu planning for children will be highly regarded
