Personal Care Assistant (PCA) – Casual | Footscray, VICAbout the rolePersonal Care Assistants are an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, working to provide a high standard of care that supports residents' individual needs, preferences, dignity and independence.You'll work as part of a team to assist with showering, dressing, mobility, meals and daily activities.
You'll also spend time with residents, share stories, build meaningful connections and show kindness and empathy.We have casual opportunities available across morning, afternoon and night shifts, working alongside experienced carers and nursing staff.Key responsibilitiesAssisting residents with showering, dressing, toileting and grooming while maintaining their dignity and privacyAssisting residents with walking, mobility aids and protected transfersObserving and reporting changes in residents' health, wellbeing or behaviourSupporting residents with meals, dietary requirements and hydrationMaintaining accurate and timely care documentationWorking closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive safe, quality careSpending meaningful time with residents and supporting their social, emotional and cultural needsAbout youCertificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing)
