We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Intern Pharmacist to join the team at Euroa Pharmacy.
This is a full time position based in Euroa, VIC ****, offering you a valuable opportunity to complete your pharmacy internship whilst working in a community pharmacy setting.
As an Intern Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pharmacy operations, gaining practical experience in dispensing, patient care, and pharmacy practice under the supervision of our registered pharmacists.
This role is essential in helping us deliver excellent pharmaceutical services to our local community.Key responsibilitiesAssisting registered pharmacists with the dispensing of medications, including checking prescriptions and preparing medications for patientsSupporting the maintenance of pharmacy stock, including receiving, recording and storing pharmaceutical items in accordance with pharmacy standardsProviding excellent customer service to patients, answering general enquiries and directing complex questions to supervising pharmacistsLearning and adhering to all relevant legislation, regulations and professional standards that govern pharmacy practiceAssisting with medication counselling and patient education under pharmacist supervisionSupporting the organisation and maintenance of pharmacy systems and documentationContributing to the overall smooth operation of the pharmacy and maintaining a safe, clean and professional environmentCompleting required internship documentation, logbooks and reflective practice records as part of your accreditation requirementsWhat we're looking forCurrently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited pharmacy degree programme and seeking to complete your internship yearA strong commitment to professional development and a genuine passion for pharmacy practice and patient careExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare professionals and colleaguesAttention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling medications and pharmacy recordsA proactive and reliable approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn and adapt to new systems, processes and best practices in community pharmacyDemonstrated understanding of pharmacy ethics and patient confidentiality requirementsOrganisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy community pharmacy environmentWhat we offerAt Euroa Pharmacy, we are committed to supporting the professional development of our team members.
